The Night She Died

The Night She Died – Jenny Blackhurst

Brilliant read.

I have read Jenny Blackhurst before and enjoyed all her novels.  ‘The Night She Died’ did not disappoint.

Evie is seen jumping from a cliff at her wedding reception, still in her wedding gown.  It is deemed a suicide but her husband, Richard, wants to know why and he starts to ask questions to try and understand.  Rebecca, Evie’s best friend, is supporting Richard who seems unable to function some days.

The plot is clever and twisted.  Following the unravelling of the story through present day and past from both Evie’s and Rebecca’s viewpoints it becomes clear that what lies on the surface is not necessarily what feelings are running deep.

I was intrigued and totally engrossed all the way through.

Thank you to NetGalley, Headline and Jenny Blackhurst for my ARC in return for my honest review.

Excellent Read.  Highly recommended.
